Anđelija was born and raised in Niš, Serbia. She finished her Bachelor’s studies in Serbian Language and Literature there and got her Master’s degree at the University of Novi Sad. She loves teaching Serbian as a foreign language because it allows her to give students a taste of life in a Balkan country. She speaks Serbian and English and would love to learn Spanish. Anđelija likes dancing, listening to funk music, and reading. Currently, she is learning Serbian folklore. She enjoys traveling around Serbia, discovering new places to visit, and meeting new people. You can expect to learn much about Serbian culture in classes, and Anđelija can’t wait to create lessons according to your needs and interests!

Helena grew up in Negotin, a town in eastern Serbia, and now lives in Novi Sad. She graduated with a degree in Serbian Language and Literature from the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad and is currently writing her master’s thesis in Serbian literature. She speaks English, Spanish, and Vlach, and is currently learning German. Helena enjoys visiting museums, writing stories, cycling, and meeting new people. She’s interested in photography and music, and has two cats. In her classes, you can expect a relaxed atmosphere where you will build confidence in speaking in Serbian while learning about Serbian culture through customs, music, films, and topics that match your interests.

Marija was born and raised in Loznica and currently lives in Novi Sad. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, majoring in Serbian language and literature. She works at a high school as a teacher of Serbian language and literature. She speaks English and a little Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys walking, running, hiking, reading, and having coffee with close friends. In her classes, you can expect lots of smiles and positive energy, plenty of speaking in Serbian, and many stories about Serbian customs, culture, and traditions.

Residing in Belgrade, Serbia, Jelena graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in Comparative Literature, and she is currently working on her Master’s Thesis in Teaching Serbian as a Foreign Language. Jelena enjoys meeting new people, discovering new cultures, and learning something new each and every day. She is also enthusiastic about hiking, reading, and spending time in nature. Some of her other hobbies are analog photography, dance, music, and of course learning new languages.

Born and raised in Belgrade, Marina loves her city so much that she lives there now and never wants to leave. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative Literature and the Serbian Language, and is currently working on her Master’s Thesis in the same field. She speaks English, Serbian, and some German. In her free time, she collects old documents, pictures, and stories about Belgrade, and loves to share them with anyone interested. In addition to this, she is a part of the choir “Obilić”, because of her love of singing, even though she doesn’t believe she is great at it.

Jelena comes from the north of Serbia, specifically Srpska Crnja in Vojvodina, but she currently resides in Belgrade. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Serbian literature and language from the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade. She enjoys teaching Serbian as a foreign language because it allows her to connect people with their friends, partners, and other individuals who speak Serbian. In her opinion, teaching is a two-way street, as she also learns from her students. Jelena is fluent in both Serbian and English. During her free time, she enjoys reading and is curious about literature from other countries. She used to dance in a cultural artistic society, and some of her interests include folklore, and listening to different types of music.

Milica was born and raised in Arilje, Serbia, a small town in western Serbia. She finished her Bachelor’s studies in Serbian Language and Literature at the University of Belgrade, where she earned her Master’s degree in the same field. She speaks Serbian and English. Milica loves teaching Serbian because it’s her way of sharing the beauty of the Serbian language and culture with others. In her free time, she enjoys reading, immersing herself in nature, and exploring the woods in search of mushrooms. In Milica’s classes, you’ll explore Serbian culture, and she’s eager to tailor lessons to your interests and needs!

Sanja was born and raised in Niš, the third-largest city in Serbia, located in the south of the country. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Niš. She teaches both Serbian and German, and is actively involved in academic work and research. She speaks Serbian, German, English, and Bulgarian, and is currently learning Spanish. In her free time, Sanja loves traveling, dancing Latin dances, spending time in nature, trying diverse cuisines, and gardening. In Sanja’s lessons, you can expect to explore the similarities and differences between your own language and culture and the Serbian language, helping you better understand the people of the Balkans.
