Small shops around Zlatibor Lake are relatively new, but there is another place with authentic souvenirs that has existed for decades.
It’s a local bazaar where you can find a wide assortment of alcoholic drinks, various honey products, domestic tea blends, natural cosmetic products, wool sweaters, socks, and more.
And if you want to bring home some Zlatibor domestic delicacies, at the bazaar you can find plenty of different sorts of cheese, kajmak, pršuta, kobasica, and čvarci.
Sellers at the bazaar are usually at the same time producers of these delicacies, so don’t hesitate to make small talk with them and find out stories behind making these tasty products.
#3 What to Visit in Zlatibor Region: Gold Gondola
The Gold Gondola Lift is one of the newest attractions in Zlatibor. This is the longest panoramic gondola in the world, almost 9 kilometres long.
The gondola connects the town of Zlatibor with the highest peak in the area, called Tornik (1,496 m).
Are you a fan of adrenaline sports? In that case, you’ll be thrilled with the Tornik Ski Centre. You can enjoy activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking, depending on the season.
The gondola ride lasts about 25 minutes, during which you can enjoy amazing natural landscapes.

Tornik is Zlatibor’s main ski resort and a must-visit for sports enthusiasts.

In the summer, the mountain transforms into an adventure park, featuring hiking trails, panoramic viewpoints, and activities such as zip-lining, mountain biking, and a bobsled ride.

This is a theme park inspired by the Wild West. It is located a few kilometres from Zlatibor’s centre, designed like a small cowboy town with saloons, wooden houses, and horse stables.
But El Paso City doesn’t offer you just a Western experience. The park is divided into two parts. One represents a Serbian traditional village, and the other a Wild West town. When you cross a wooden bridge, you are literally crossing between different continents and time periods.
Here you will also find various activities for children, such as horseback riding and mini golf.
And if you want to take a break, there are restaurants serving authentic dishes, as well as accommodation in themed wooden cabins.

Another place where you can step back in time and experience authentic Serbian rural life is Sirogojno.
Sirogojno is a village and an open-air museum located about 25 kilometres from Zlatibor town.
This museum preserves traditional architecture and lifestyle from the 19th century.
Walking among wooden houses, barns, and workshops, you’ll see how people lived, cooked, and worked in the past. Demonstrations of old crafts, folklore performances, and tastings of homemade food make this an unforgettable cultural experience.
Sirogojno is also renowned for its woollen clothing, particularly hand-knitted sweaters, which are popular souvenirs.
#8 What to Visit in Zlatibor Region: Stopića Pećina
Near Sirogojno is one of the most beautiful caves in Serbia.
It is known for its massive entrance, impressive underground halls, and unusual formations called bigrene kade – natural stone tubs filled with water.
The cave is decorated with many colourful lights, which makes the experience even more magical.
A wooden pathway guides visitors through the cave and the underground waterfall!

Not far from Stopića Cave is another natural wonder – the Gostilje Waterfall.
With a height of 20 meters, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Serbia.

There are walking trails, wooden bridges, and picnic areas surrounding the waterfall. It’s a perfect stop for families and nature lovers.
#10 What to Visit in Zlatibor Region: Šarganska osmica And Drvengrad
Serbs know that when you visit Zlatibor, there are at least two more spots you shall not miss. And now you know too!
Mokra Gora is a picturesque village between the mountains Zlatibor and Tara.
This mountain village is home to the famous Šargan Eight Railway that once connected Belgrade with Sarajevo. Today, it has been restored as a tourist attraction.
It’s a unique railway that, viewed from above, resembles the shape of a number eight. It’s passing through tunnels, bridges, and sharp curves. Here you can also enjoy breathtaking views!
Nearby, there’s a Drvengrad (Mećavnik), a traditional-style village. It was built by film director Emir Kusturica for his movie “Life Is a Miracle.”
Today, it functions as an ethno-village with wooden houses, a cinema, galleries, and artcraft workshops. Streets in Drvengrad are named after famous people in culture and science.
